  1. Anything that exists must have a cause for its existence.
  2. This causes an infinite regress, where A was caused by B, and B caused by C, and C by D, ad infinitum.
  3. Only god could deal with this problem.
  4. Therefore god exists.
  5. Because for some random reason god isn't subject to rule #1.
