- Anything that exists must have a cause for its existence.
- This causes an infinite regress, where A was caused by B, and B caused by C, and C by D, ad infinitum.
- Only god could deal with this problem.
- Therefore god exists.
- Because for some random reason god isn't subject to rule #1.
