If you are feeling trepidatious or anxious about adding something to this wiki, those trepidations are holding you back.

You need not worry about it. As long as you are not posting spam or trolling, you will be okay. Your contribution will be okay. It may get modified, or wikified, or even deleted (though probably not), but it will still be okay. You can always retrieve any contribution you made from any wiki page's page history, even deleted contributions.

You do not need to worry about the wiki. The wiki (that is, all of us who also contribute to the wiki) will take care of itself.

In fact, the wiki (that is, all of us who also contribute to the wiki) will endeavour to take care of you and your contributions. We appreciate your contributions, even if we might modify, or wikify, or even delete them (though we will be very careful when deleting, and will provide good reasons when we do). Your contributions cannot really harm us, and in most cases will enrich us, even if you might not immediately see how. Trust us, the people of this wiki. You may be surprised at how we take your small contribution, and build on it. We will try to do justice to any good ideas.

So, let go of your worries. Feel free from them. Do not let them hold you back. Be bold. Speak to us, tell us what you think. Let us see what we can build together, on this wiki. Let the wiki do its thing.

Let go, and let wiki.

The title of this page comes from the 12-step slogan "Let go, and let God." Obviously, it needed to be tweaked for our purposes, but the idea is the same: A person's anxieties and trepidations very often are based on fears that will not actually come to pass. If you can find trust in something besides your own ability to 'get it just right', then you will find more freedom, less anxiety, and more happiness as a result. A social group, such as a wiki, is a good example of something (often, not always) worthy of putting your trust in.
